Collective Wishlist Revisited: Style Black [M.A.C.]

Style Black

Style Black

Style Black is my IT collection for the end of 2009.   Why?   Because it’s predominantly things I don’t have.  Black is intense fun on it’s own, but I feel so many people overlook the fact that it’s so versatile when it’s used in layers.

I think these will be key pieces that I’ll still be using long after the fall/winter of 2009.

Style Black Wishlist

  • Cremesheen Lipstick / Black Knight
  • Mattene Lipstick / Midnight Media, Night Violet
  • Glimmerglass / Bling Black, Blackfire, Blackware
  • Cream Colour Base / Bat Black
  • Mineralize Eye Shadows / Young Punk, Cinderfella
  • Grease Paintstick / Black
  • Volcanic Ash / Exfoliator, Thermal Mask

Yes, the list has changed a bit from the last go around. I’ll just be checking out the one cream colour base in Bat Black, because if I’m getting the grease paintstick (which is supposed to have longevity) I don’t need the cream colour base in Black. I’ve also been hearing some good things about the mineralize eye shadows, so they’re on the list to swatch and see.

But quite possibly the best thing about this collection is that I’ve been hoarding my empties for Back 2 MAC. MAC is great, free MAC is even better, six pieces of free MAC is the business. *squee*

I love all the looks I’ve seen so far, but my favourite inspired look was created by Troy Jenson.  I think he did an absolutely remarkable job with Kim Kardashian for the “betwiched/twilight” look.  It’s obviously not a look most could wear on the daily, but I still think it’s stunning.

*All the promotional images came out of a google search, but I’m assuming that MAC was the originator.  If you feel you deserve credit for them, let me know and I’ll attach a link.
