Last week I attended the official Canadian launch event for Art Deco. The well known German brand has actually been available in some select Shoppers Drug Mart locations, but this was the official introduction between brand and media.
Already recognized in Germany, Europe and now globally, with a wide global distribution network (e.g. Europe, Russia, South Korea, China, Australia, etc.), ARTDECO is identified by its on-trend and fashion-forward designs, the beautiful art creations they incorporate on packaging and the partnerships they have developed with influential designers and personalities including: TALBOT RUNHOF, Romero Britto and Dita Von Teese.
The PR staff was phenomenal and made me feel quite comfortable. I had a great time chatting with some of the other guests, a number of the PR staff, as well as the Vice President of Marketing for Art Deco; Anna Blasco Salvat.
Anna and I spoke at length and her passion for the brand was contagious. The individual colour system seemed to be the heart of the brand and definitely has appeal as a customizable option for eye shadows and blush. You’re able to choose exactly which shades you want, so you’ll never be stuck with those one or two shades that often go unused in pre-made palettes.
As well, Art Deco launches limited edition collections throughout the year. I immediately fell in love with the visual for the Tribal Sunset collection, and Anna told me that the scarf the model was wearing was the inspiration for the collectable beauty boxes. There are often collaborations with famous artists, fashion designers and musicians as well, which make the various boxes quite popular as collectables.
“The ARTDECO brand stands for individuality and aims to provide women with personalized and innovative cosmetic solutions, as well as quality at a reasonable price point,” said Anna Blasco, Vice President of Marketing, ARTDECO.
A big thank you to Punch for the invitation, I very much appreciated all your hospitality. It was fantastic to learn first hand about Art Deco and I look forward to seeing the brand grow in Canada as it has around the world. As well, a big shout out to Tabitha & Marela.. I had a great time chatting with you both, it was so much fun.. you’re both fantastic!
More coming soon with features from the assorted bits and bobs we were invited to try out. ;]
