Haul: Viva Glam Gaga II
When I first saw the images for the new Viva Glam campaign, I was immediately interested. The contrast from the original shared (Cyndi Lauper/Lady Gaga) campaign was fantastic. I also noticed that even though it’s a neutral colour, it wasn’t a match to her skin tone – so I was hoping that it would work across a relatively broad spectrum in terms of skin tone.
I wasn’t at all disappointed.
At the counter, the MA working felt that this colour would be in the realm of how she uses Myth as a nude lip. Now, I’ve seen Myth look gorgeous and I’ve seen it look a hot mess, so I was a bit concerned it might be too pale for me.
I was also concerned that the lip gloss was going to be very similar to Revealing, but Viva Glam Gaga 2 is significantly lighter. It definitely falls into the realm of nude lips and leans a bit to the lighter side, while keeping enough warmth to prevent washing out my skin. This works with and without a darker liner and so far I really like it with BBQ lip pencil.
Have you tried MAC’s Viva Glam Gaga 2 yet? If so, how do you like to wear it?

I haven’t seen this lipstick yet! I’m concerned about it being too warm actually. I loooove Blankety Woo Me and Myth (great nudes on my skin) do you think this will live up to those?

I think you should definitely check it out and swatch it next to your favs, it’s warmer than Blankety – but it does pick up a bit pink on the lips (esp. the gloss).
Great post and thanks for the swatches. I will probably buy the lipglass because it is much darker and it will compliment me more so than the lipstick.

The gloss is definitely the easier of the two to wear. I hope you enjoy!
