Wet n Wild Holiday Palettes
Anyone that keeps tabs on drugstore makeup knows that Wet n Wild has done a major revamp of it’s line. In particular, it’s eye shadow palettes have skyrocketed to fame. First, the 6-pan palettes were all the rage with both permanent and limited releases, but they were eventually replaced by the 8-pan versions. These have been just as popular, though personally I miss the mattes of the 6-pan versions.
I’ve become used to the fact that it takes a while for the brand to get the new releases into Canada, especially in my neck of the woods. I’ve also give up hope of ever finding the lovely holiday releases locally, which is why I got in touch with a long time makeup pal from the US when I heard about the holiday palettes being released this year. She was awesome enough to keep an eye out for me and managed to snag a full set. They arrived just the other day and so, now I’m obviously sharing with you.
There is decent selection of shades with two of the palettes being the usual shimmer finishes; one warm (Sparkle ‘Til Morning) and the other cool (Shimmer The Night Away) toned. I’m also quite excited to try the matte (Drinking A Glass Of Shine) palette as well – although for those who where able to try the I ♥ Matte version from last year – it looks to be a re-promote under a different name.
Be sure to keep an eye out over the next week or so, because I will be giving away a brand new set to one lucky reader.
Have you been lucky enough to find these holiday palettes in your area? If so, which is your favourite? If not, which would you like to try the most?
