Rant: Makeup Mania vs Rave: La Femme Blush

Poor customer service rant.. impressive blush rave!

This video was actually filmed back in November of last year. I just recently rediscovered as I was going through some old files, to free up space on my computer. At the time I was quite angry, but even after all these months I feel like I managed to get both of my points (good & bad) across without being rude or disrespectful (despite feeling that’s how I was treated by Makeup Mania).

In most cases, I would have just cancelled my order but I think in this particular situation it’s relevant to distinguish the vendor (Makeup Mania) from the manufacturer (La Femme Cosmetics).

Have you ever had an experience where you’ve received horrible customer service, but separate from that you enjoyed the product?

    I thought this was quite poignant-simple but sending a clear message. That’s one skill that you have that I truly admire you for. Glad that you liked the product but disappointed (as are you) with the company and lack of interest regarding customers.

    I just discovered this post today through a link on Twitter but I wanted to tell you how amazing this is! I had a similar terrible experience with Makeup Mania. I ordered a bunch of things, including a bunch of La Femme products. My order was sent to me incomplete without an explanation that my missing items were on backorder. Then when I contacted them, they said my items would be shipped separately…and they never came. After a while, they just stopped answering my emails. Worst experience with a online etailer, EVER.
    Might I recommend Camera Ready Cosmetics? They also have La Femme products and even though the prices are higher, when I emailed the owner, Mary, offered a price match. Nothing but raves for the CS there!
