Smashbox O-Gloss

Smashbox O-Gloss

Product Name ~ O-Gloss Intuitive Lip Gloss

Product Description (from Smashbox website) ~ Get a shiny pink pout all your own! The first intuitive lip gloss, this innovative formula goes on clear and then reacts with your personal skin chemistry to instantly transform into your own custom shade of pink. O-GLOSS is packed with our exclusive microcirculating Goji Berry-C Complex™ and ginkgo biloba, pomegranate seed antioxidants, revitalizing marine botanicals and moisturizing avocado oil for lustrous shine.

The Experience ~ I have been looking for another gloss, but something I could wear on a more regular basis that could work with all sorts of looks. I was at SDM a few days ago and saw O-Gloss in the Smashbox display, and since I’d see it online I figured I’d give it a swatch. It goes on clear, and then transforms to a custom shade of pink. I liked what I saw, so I picked it up.

I’ve worn it a few times, and I like that based on how much I apply the colour can be very subtle or surprisingly intense. It goes on very smoothly, with no noticeable scent or taste. The product comes in a squeeze tube, but I’ve applied it with a brush for more precision. I also chose to use a brush because of the fact that the gloss is clear in the tube, but as soon as it touches the skin it starts to change colour – and I didn’t want to get the pink mixed in with the clear.

It it a slight bit sticky, but compared to a lot of other glosses , O-Gloss is pretty low on the sticky scale, without being completely smooth. By no means is it a long wear gloss, but I’ve found that even after drinking/eating that it leaves a light stain of colour, so your lips aren’t left looking naked.

Pros ~ custom colour, lightweight, lasts well for a gloss, not very sticky
