Skin. It’s one of the most critical aspects of makeup and it’s been one of the toughest things for me to get a handle on. Unfortunately for me, my skin is quite temperamental. I can’t tell you how many times that I’ve finally thought I’ve found a great product. The results are fantastic for a week or two, and then week three will give an entirely different (and usually negative) result. Pair that with obnoxious and unpredictable hormonal breakouts and it’s a constant battle.
Despite all of that, I have gotten a better handle on my skin within the last year or so. However, there’s still the issue of hyper-pigmentation. Whether my skin is irritated by a cut or scrape, acne or ingrown hair or eczema reaction; the aftermath tends to result in areas of darker skin. I picked this up a few months ago, but I wanted to wait until the new year to start with it. Due to my skin’s diva-like nature, I’m giving this product a two week preliminary. It’s suggested to use both day and night, but for the first two weeks I will be using it only at night so I don’t have to worry about any conflicts with my current day time routine. Once I finish with the initial two weeks, I will follow the format of my last 28 day challenge with weekly updates and sharing my experience and any relevant tips or suggestions.
My past experience hasn’t been great with Clinique skin care, but I have heard really good things about this product. Hopefully, this will help in turning a new leaf for my skin.
