Alternate: Shadow As Liner
A week or two ago, I misplaced my gel liner. This is quite annoying since 9 times out of 10, that’s what I reach for. So what to do?
Liquid liner? Nope, as much as I love the precision, most applicators are nothing but stress, so I didn’t bother.
Pencil liner? Nah, since embracing the joy of gel liner, pencils are usually reserved for my lower lash line.
Well, since I’ve been wearing pretty neutral makeup to work – I started giving my black eye shadow some major love. Coincidently, I fell in love with the simplicity and the soft definition it offers. A few seconds with an angled brush and my lash line is nicely defined. Go figure.
It’s actually given a new spot of honour to Bulletproof by Sugarpill Cosmetics. It’s the only shadow I have from them that isn’t in a quad, so admittedly I wasn’t reaching for it all the time. Now that I’m regularly shadow lining, it’s getting used daily.

Similar to me in some ways. I ran out of my black liner (Avon) and green liner (M A C). Have since then reordered. So for the past two/three weeks I’ve had to be doing using my black or green shadow. And, to tell the truth, you can barely make out any real difference. A lady at work asked if I was holding out on new stuff as she thought my eyeshadow was a new shade of
M A C green eyeliner. I told her no and showed her my secret! LOL!
Funny how situations can bring about new experiences.. LOL I do not have the same precision with shadow, but for a basic look it does what I need it to do.
Normally, I would have just bought another one.. but I am still waiting to finish up my Project 20 Pan.. so that was not an option.
