Five Favourites: March 2011
Unlike last month, I wanted to knock out my favourites from March early on. I didn’t really intend for their to be a peach toned theme here, but as the seasons change I find myself reaching for it regularly. It’s definitely one of my go to non-neutral neutrals. It adds just enough warmth, and it can be worn in a subtle or bold manner.
If you’d like a full or quick review of any of these product, just let me know in the comments.
MAC Cremesheen Glass in Boy Bait
This gloss has reinforced my love for soft lips. I will always love my bright, bold lip colours, but I’m better able to appreciate neutral colours with this gloss. The colour is a bit hard to read, since it seems to pick up whatever it’s paired with, but my best description would be a slightly pink beige. It’s sheer and creamy with minimal shimmer, but the gloss adds some fabulous dimension without being sticky.

MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in Shy Girl
Most of my readers will attest to the fact that I’m a huge fan of anything peach toned and this lipstick is no exception. Originally, I didn’t think the peach tones would translate well for me – but this lipstick packs a lot more pigment than I originally thought. I bought it as a new ‘nude’ shade to try, and while it is a more subtle shade it’s far from nude. A very pretty soft peach that works on it’s own or with a liner.

MAC Eye Shadow in Gleam
I’ve had this shadow for years, and I never paid it much mind until recently. It then completely stole my heart and made itself a regular part of my routine. Despite it’s lustre finish, the fallout is negligable and I find it registers much more shimmery than glittery on the lid. The peach champagne shade works for very simple natural looks and also can be combined to create fabulous dramatic looks.

MAC Impeccable Brow Pencil in Black
After asking one of my local MA’s for an alternative to my brow pencil in Stud, she suggested this. At first I didn’t like it, as it took a while to get used to using a traditional pencil instead of the fine tip of the other. I’m all about this pencil now. Even though it’s called black, it’s a very dark, neutral brown with a very natural matte finish.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Long-Wear Blush in Tipsy
This blush is absolutely gorgeous and is my new favourite coral blush, and is definitely in the running for my new favourite blush across the board. It’s a matte texture which is my usual preference, the pigmentation is absolutely insane which gives it amazing versatility across skin tones and use for bold or soft cheeks.
