Project 10 Pan Completed!
I finished the challenge recently, but just got around to taking photos of the empty containers today.
Surprisingly, it wasn’t that hard. It’s all about taking on a particular mindset. As much as I love cosmetics, frequently buying things isn’t necessary. With what I already have, it really forced me to appreciate and use those products that didn’t get much love. Not to mention the simple fact of freeing up space.. those products take up a lot of room! The most interesting aspect of this was how quickly I did it. To be fair, it just so happened that I had a few products that were more than half used. I’m the type of person that rotates through products based on whim, so it was nice to actually finish something up and I’m definitely glad to be done with those products.
With all that said, there were definitely numerous times that I was tempted. Actually, it seemed like everyone was launching sales while I was doing my best to abstain. It made me realize how easy it is to set yourself up for frequent purchases; between all the promo emails and tweets, there is always something floating around to catch your attention.
While my products were a mix of makeup and skincare, I felt it was fair to include them. This wasn’t because it made the challenge easier, rather I included them because there were alternatives waiting to take their place. While I don’t have nearly as much skincare product as I do makeup, I could have very easily gone out for more face cream or scrub, but I had others that could be used.. so why not do just that?
- Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Serum
- LUSH Ocean Salt
- MAC Brow Set
- MAC Mineralize Satinfinish SPF 15
- MAC Moisturelush Cream
- MAC Shadestick
- MAC Studio Fix Powder

I’m glad that I did this, I found it to be oddly empowering. Have you ever done this challenge? Do you think you can?

OMG!!! Wow you rock!! I get excited when I hit the pan of an eyeshadow but to use it up is another story. I too rotate products in a whim. Question, How is the jJuice Beauty Blemish Clearing Serum? I’ve heard mixed reviews
Eye shadows are tough! For me, those definitely get the highest rotation. I have some with some big dents, but only one that I’ve actually hit pan on. LOL
I like the serum, I used it pretty regularly for about a year or so.. but recently I’ve been trying out other skincare, so I wasn’t using it as frequently. If you’re not sure, I recommend the kits.. you get sample sizes of the face wash, the serum, a moisturizer and a mask. I went through two of the kits and then started buying the full size.
I Have also used the Juice Beauty blemish clearing serum and i love it. What is important for me is that it does NOT dry my skin out but works better than any other product i have tried. The other product i cant live without is the Antioxidant Serum. It removes blemishes AND wrinkles (especially around the under eye area) right away and makes my skin super smooth! I buy mine at juicebeauty.com because they always have codes you can enter to receive free gifts! Totally try either of the products i promise you will fall in love!
